Spicy pumpkin ketchup

This spicy pumpkin ketchup goes well with meatloaf and smoked sausage.

Ingredients

1 1⁄2 cups pumpkin (cooked pumpkin or canned, pureed)
1 onion (medium size, finely chopped)
1⁄2 cup vinegar (cider vinegar)
1⁄2 cup apple sauce
1⁄4 teaspoon clove (ground)
1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1⁄4 teaspoon pepper (ground)
4 tablespoons brown sugar (light brown sugar)
1⁄2 teaspoon curry (curry powder)
1 cup water

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients and bring to a boil, reduce heat and boil gently for 1 hour.

Puree until smooth, and allow to cool before serving.
