Pecan and cranberries pear dessert

Easy dessert for cooler days. Finish with something sweet and healthy.

Ingredients

1⁄2 cup yogurt (vanilla yogurt)
3 tablespoons pecan nuts (chopped and lightly toasted)
2 pear (medium sized)
2 tablespoons cranberry (rinsed)

Instructions

Core the pear from the bottom and peel the top third of the pear. Keep the stem on the pear.

Microwave each pear covered for about 2 minutes or more until tender.

Arrange the pears on a plate and serve with the vanilla yogurt and sprinkled with cranberries and pecans.

Notes

Try this recipe with apples, peaches, canned or poached, or apritcots.

Vary the flavor of yogurt used. Coconut Greek style yogurt or Greek style yogurt with honey are also great.
