Mom's famous cheesecake

A delicious cheesecake recipe made in three main steps, crust, base and topping.

Ingredients

1 1⁄4 cups crackers (Graham crackers, crumbled)
1 cup sugar (half for base, quarter for crust, quarter for topping)
1⁄3 cup butter (or margarine, melted)
11 ounces cream cheese
2 egg (beaten)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sour cream

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350º F. Mix the crumbs, 1/4 cup of sugar and the melted butter.

Press into the bottom of a cake pan and bake until a lightly browned crust appears, about 15-20 minutes.

Mix the cheese, eggs, 1/2 cup of sugar and vanilla extract together then pour on top of the cooled crust.

Bake the cake until the base is st, about 20 minutes.

Mix the sour cream with the rest of the sugar, pour over the cake, then turn the oven off and leave the cake in it for 4-5 more minutes.

Cool the cake then put it in the fridge when at room temperature. Enjoy the cheesecake later on.
