Bay leaf kebabs

You can also cook the kebabs on top of a grill. A charcoal fire adds extra flavor, but any ordinary grill will serve.

Ingredients

1 lb veal (diced)
1 lemon (juice only)
1 c tomato (cherry or baby plum tomatoes)
1⁄2 c shallot (peeled)
1 c bell pepper (diced)
1 c mushroom (clean small white button mushrooms)
4 lf bay leaf (fresh)
1⁄2 c parsley (fresh parsely finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef cubes in lemon juice. Set them in a glass container, pour the lemon juice over, cover with plastic film, and leave them in the fridge for two hours, preferably overnight.
  2. Pin meat cubes in four skewers, alternating with pepper, cherry tomatoes, shallots, mushrooms, and bay leaves.
  3. Season the kebabs with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  4. Broil for 15 minutes, turning once.
  5. Garnish with letucce salad and serve white rice on the side.
