Bahamian barbecue sauce

Use as basting sauce for barbecues meats (chicken, beef or pork) brushing the meat with the sauce during the last 20 minutes.

Ingredients

6 tablespoons tomato ketchup
4 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
8 tablespoons water
4 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons mustard
2 teaspoons chili powder (or to taste)
2 teaspoons paprika

Instructions

Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer slowly for at least 30 minutes, adding a little more water if the sauce gets too thick.

Adjust the ingredients to taste.
