Culinary terms with H

herb - name, type of food, condiment - A plant or part of a plant used for its flavor, scent, or potential health benefits. This typically includes leaves, flowers, seeds, stems, and roots.

aromatic herbs - a subset of herbs that are particularly known for their strong, pleasing aromas. They are often used in cooking to enhance the flavor and aroma of various dishes. Examples include basil, rosemary, thyme, and mint.

hospitality - The kind treatment hosts give to their guests.

hostel - name - a lodging house for students, travelers, or special groups; maybe hospice.

hostelry - name - a very old inn, indeed, because the term is not used much currently.

hotel  - name - a building of many rooms licensed to provide lodging where travelers can obtain both, meals and rooms usually for a short stay.
