Ideas with nuts and edible seeds.

Chicken tajine

Moroccan dishes are becoming increasingly popular. This is no more difficult thatn other stew. If you do not have a traditional tajine to cook over coal, you can use a Dutch oven, or a pan with a lid, and your regular stove will do.

Pesto

This green basil, pine nut and garlic sauce is the pride of Genoa. Serve pesto with any pasta of your choice, cooked, drained, and placed in a warmed dish as a first course. Pesto is also excellent with potatoes or as a base sauce for pizza.

Sesame

Sesame has a unique flavor, reminiscent of sunflower seeds.  Used in Middle Eastern cuisine, where is added to breads, cakes, used as tahini paste, or as an ingredient in confectionery, as in halva. In Oriental cuisine, sesame seeds are frequently toasted or ground in Chinese, Japanese and Korean cooking, as a condiment.
