Welsh posset cup

A warming drink.

Ingredients

2 c milk (whole milk)
2 T oatmeal
1 pn salt (or to taste)
2 T honey
1⁄4 t cinnamon
1⁄4 t nutmeg
2 c beer (stout)

Instructions

Using a small sauce pan, heat the milk, oatmeal and salt to just below a boil, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat, allow to stand 10 minutes. Strain liquid into a new pot, add remaining ingredients, heat thoroughly, do not boil. Drink hot.
