Pecan pie
Pecan pie is often served at traditional North American celebrations such as Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
Instructions
Heat oven to 300º F.
Beat eggs and white sugar until thickened. Add corn syrup, salt and vanilla. Blend well. This is the filling.
Arrange pecan halves in the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the filling over the pecans.
Bake in the oven until the filling is set, 55-60 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let it cool down.
Serve pecan pie with whipped cream.
Notes
Don´t overfill the crust even if there is excess filling. The filling rises and puffs while cooking. The pecans will rise to the top of the pie forming a crusted layer.
