Apple and onion stuffing

Seasonal stuffing helps to vary the flavor of any roast. Apple and onion stuffing is a perfect choice for the colder months.

Ingredients

2 onion (chopped)
1 1⁄2 teaspoons butter
3⁄4 cup bread crumbs (fresh, white bread)
2 apple (peeled, cored and chopped)
2 tablespoons parsley (fresh parsley, finely chopped)
1 egg (beaten)
1⁄4 cup broth (chicken or turkey broth)

Instructions

Heat butter in a pan and cook the onions until soft but not brown. Allow to cool.

Stir in the rest of the ingredients.

Season to taste.

Use it to stuff the meat, or bake on the side.

Notes

To bake the stuffing on the side, estimate 45 minutes at 350°F
