Spiced chocolate cooler

A refreshing and flavorful drink that combines the rich taste of chocolate with aromatic spices. The hint of chili powder adds a subtle kick, reminiscent of traditional Aztec and Mayan chocolate beverages.

Ingredients

4 cups milk (whole milk or your favorite vegetable milk, cold)
1⁄2 cup chocolate (dark chocolate, chopped)
4 tablespoons agave syrup (or honey, adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon (ground cinnamon)
1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg (freshly grated or ground nutmeg)
1 pinch chili powder (or to taste)
  ice (ice cubes)

Instructions

Prepare the chocolate mixture

In a saucepan over low heat, combine the chopped dark chocolate, agave syrup or honey, and 1 cup of milk. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

Add spices and vanilla

Stir in the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and chili powder. Mix well to ensure the spices are well incorporated.

Cool the mixture

Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the chocolate mixture to cool to room temperature.

Assemble the drink

In a blender, combine the cooled chocolate mixture, the remaining 3 cups of cold milk, and a handful of ice cubes. Blend until smooth and frothy.

Serving

Pour the spiced chocolate cooler into individual glasses.
