Melon and serrano ham soup

Sweet melon and savory ham are perfectly matched. This time they are presented as a cold soup.

Ingredients

2 melon (medium size, skind and seeds removed, diced)
3⁄4 cup ham (serrano ham, shredded)
  salt (to taste)
  pepper (to taste)
  crouton (or toasted bread, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel melons, discard seeds an dice. Blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to your taste. Chill for 1 hour minimum.
  2. Serve in soup bowls, topped with shredded Serrano ham and with toasted bread on the side.
