Green Mexican salsa

A sauce with green tomatoes and green serrano chili.

Ingredients

3 chili pepper (serrano chili, green)
2 cups tomatillo (tomatillos, husk removed, chopped if used raw)
2 tablespoons onion (chopped)
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1 pinch sugar
3 tablespoons coriander (fresh leaves, finely chopped)

Instructions

Place chili, green tomato, onion, salt and sugar in the blender. Process until pureed. Add chopped coriander just before serving.

Notes

If the sauce is too thick, add a little boiled water.

This recipe can also be prepared with roasted green tomatoes, onion, and green serrano chili.
