Crunchy salad

A scrumptious salad that's unbelievably easy to prepare and keeps well in the fridge.

Ingredients

1⁄2 head cabbage (Chinese cabbage, shredded)
1 cup shallot (chopped shallots)
1⁄2 cup sesame seed (toasted)
1⁄4 cup olive oil
1⁄8 cup vinegar (white wine vinegar)
1 tablespoon soy sauce (kecap manis)
1 package noodles (fried egg noddles)
1⁄2 cup almond (toasted slivered almonds)
1⁄4 cup sugar (fine sugar)

Instructions

Make the dressing by mixing, olive oil, vinegar, soy sauce and sugar in a screw top jar, shaking them well. Reserve until needed.

Mix Chinese cabbage, shallots, noodles, seeds and toasted almonds. Just before serving, shake the the dressing again, add to the salad and toss.

Notes

Prepare dressing and salad in advance. Just shake and add the dressing before serving.
