Crunchy salad

A scrumptious salad that's unbelievably easy to prepare and keeps well in the fridge.


1⁄2 hd cabbage (Chinese cabbage, shredded)
1 c shallot (chopped shallots)
1⁄2 c sesame seed (toasted)
1⁄4 c olive oil
1⁄8 c vinegar (white wine vinegar)
1 T soy sauce (kecap manis)
1 pk noodles (fried egg noddles)
1⁄2 c almond (toasted slivered almonds)
1⁄4 c sugar (fine sugar)


Make the dressing by mixing, olive oil, vinegar, soy sauce and sugar in a screw top jar, shaking them well. Reserve until needed.

Mix Chinese cabbage, shallots, noodles, seeds and toasted almonds. Just before serving, shake the the dressing again, add to the salad and toss.
