Cranberry sauce

Typically served with the Thanksgiving roast turkey.

Instructions

  1. Place cranberries, sugar and orange juice in a saucepan. Heat slowly until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the cranberries are soft.
  3. Serve still warm.

Notes

To vary the texture, add the grated zest of one of the oranges.

For more flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of mixed seasonal spices, ground.
