Chia pudding

Make a delicious dessert, snack or breakfast treat with this easy chia pudding recipe. It calls for only four ingredients and is packed with protein, vitamins and minerals. Plus, it's 100% vegan-friendly.


4 T chia
1 c milk (your choice of vegetable milk, coconut, oat, almond)
2 t honey (or maple syrup)


In a medium bowl, mix together the chia seeds, vegetable milk, honey and vanilla extract until combined.

Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken.

Serve chilled topped with your favorite fruits or nuts as a tasty dessert, snack or breakfast treat.

This chia pudding only needs a few minutes to prepare. It can be decorated with fresh fruit, jam or nuts. It will gain color as well as flavor.

Add a little more liquid if you prefer it less thick.


The liquid to make this dessert can be any type of vegetable milk or fruit juice. You could also use cow's or goat's milk. Some fruit juices don't go well with the vanilla extract and it is better not addint it then.

Substitute honey with maple syrup, some other sweet syrup or sugar.

To make a mango and chia pudding, substitute half of the chia seeds for chopped dried mango.
