This simple marinade helps to bring out the best of your BBQ meat.
Mix all the ingredients except the corn flour to create marinated steaks and leave to marinate for 2 hours.
BBQ the steaks while continuosly brushing with the extra marinade.
Add the corn flour to any left over marinade, bring it to the boil, then serve as a sauce with the cooked steaks.
The time steaks will need to cook depends on the size, type and quality of meat and how you like it cooked. Beef is best cooked rare or medium, if barbecued until well done, it will be dry.
Meat features prominently in a typical Aussie barbecue, as well as beer, or stubbies. Local councils may provide barbecues at popular spots, like beaches, and anyone can use them, as long as you tidy up afterwards.
