Libyan mafrum

A plate of mafrum, a Libyan dish of vegetables stuffed with spiced ground meat and then simmered in a tomato-based sauce.

Description

The picture shows a plate with the traditional Libyan dish called mafrum. It consists of vegetables, usually potatoes, stuffed with a mixture of ground meat and vegetables and cooked in a rich, red tomato sauce. The sacue also contains slices of carrots and potatoes in this cse. The dish is presented on a decorative plate with a colorful geometric pattern around the edge. A fork is placed on the side of the plate.
